Maria Alameda
Program Manager
Angelica Alameda has dedicated her professional career to the nonprofit sector, driven by a deep commitment to helping young people thrive and ensuring that every student feels a sense of safety, belonging, and connection within their school community.
In October 2026, Angelica joined After-School All-Stars Las Vegas, bringing with her extensive experience in youth development, family engagement, staff training, and program support. Throughout her career, she has remained passionate about creating environments where students feel supported, valued, and empowered to succeed both academically and personally.
Prior to joining After-School All-Stars, Angelica spent seven years with Communities In Schools of Southern Nevada, where she most recently served as Training & Onboarding Manager. In that role, she led the development and implementation of a comprehensive onboarding program for Site Coordinators, equipping staff with the tools and knowledge needed to effectively serve students and families. Her work focused on strengthening organizational capacity through thoughtful training, professional development, and continuous learning initiatives.
Angelica's career with Communities In Schools reflects a commitment to growth and service. She began as a Site Coordinator, working directly with students to connect them with resources and support systems that focused on academic achievement and personal well-being. She later advanced into a specialist role, where she trained and coached Site Coordinators in best practices for student engagement and program implementation. Her leadership eventually led her to oversee onboarding and training efforts across the organization, helping prepare new team members to make a meaningful impact in schools throughout Southern Nevada.
Before her work with Communities In Schools, Angelica served as a Certified Parent Trainer with Boys Town, where she taught evidence-based behavioral strategies to parents and caregivers. Through education, coaching, and support, she helped families strengthen relationships and develop skills to address challenging behaviors at home.
Known for her collaborative approach, compassion, and dedication to youth and families, Angelica believes that strong relationships and a sense of belonging are essential foundations for student success. She is committed to fostering supportive communities where every young person has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
A proud Southern Nevada resident, Angelica lives with her husband, Erik, and their two sons.
