Jennifer has been working in the education field for over 15 years. She taught in Southern California for a couple of years before her family decided to move to Nevada. Once in Nevada, Jennifer started working for Communities In Schools of Southern Nevada (CIS). While working for CIS Jennifer quickly moved her way from Site Coordinator to Manager and then Director. Throughout her time with CIS, Jennifer gained a breadth of experience from working directly in the schools to managing site staff, directing onsite programs, and building partnerships with outside agencies. This allowed her to develop skills in leadership and management throughout her eight-year tenure with CIS.
When the time came for a change, Jennifer wanted to continue working in the nonprofit and education sectors which led her to the amazing work of ASAS. She is motivated my the mission of ASAS and enjoys using her skills and talents to guide staff to help students and families accomplish their developmental goals.
She and her family have lived in Henderson for over ten years. She and her husband have two spirited sons who make them laugh every day. The family enjoys playing games, doing artistic activities and traveling together. Their favorite vacations involve snorkeling, swimming and the beach.
