Sarah Nelson is the Program Director for After-School All-Stars Las Vegas. Sarah joined the agency when she moved to Las Vegas in the summer of 2017. In her role, Sarah leads the program team across the areas of planning, implementation, and evaluation. She also guides marketing and social media initiatives.
Sarah brings to ASAS extensive experience in non-profit leadership, project management, fundraising, and training. She is passionate about establishing and implementing systems to support strategic direction and organizational growth.
Sarah was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and obtained her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Michigan Technological University. She holds Masters of Social Work and Masters of Public Health degrees from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis and is a Licensed Social Worker.
Sarah loves living in Las Vegas; she feels her work with ASAS brings a positive contribution to the students in the agency’s programs and the hundreds of dedicated staff who run them. When she’s not at work, you can find her hiking, spending time with her cats, and hosting friends and family who visit from cold and snowy places.
